If you prefer to park on-campus, there are several options available to you. The Maroon Lots are reserved for season ticket holders and require a donation to the Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund. However, the Yellow Lots are open to the public and offer free parking for both football and men's basketball games.
When arriving from the west, you can take Interstate 57 and exit at Marion, then go west on Route 13 until you reach downtown Carbondale. Make a left onto US Highway 51 and turn right onto Saluki Boulevard. Saluki Stadium and the Banterra Center will be on your right-hand side.
If you're coming from the north or east, take US Highway 51 north and make a left onto Saluki Boulevard. Saluki Stadium and the Banterra Center will also be on your right-hand side.
For those arriving from the south, park by turning west onto Saluki Drive from Route 51 and utilize Lot 56 on your left-hand side. Buses and cars transporting students on competition days are directed to park in Lot 56 as well.
If on-campus parking is unavailable or not convenient for you, off-campus parking options are also available. There are city lots located between S Illinois Avenue and the railroad tracks, as well as additional city parking lots and on-street parking in the south campus area.
Please note that parking private vehicles on grass and sidewalks is prohibited. Always ensure that you are following local and state laws governing parking regulations to avoid any fines or penalties.
Saluki Row is a spacious tailgate area located on the grass practice fields just south of the football stadium. It opens three hours before kickoff and is free for fans of all ages to enjoy pregame food, drinks, and entertainment. It's the perfect spot to gather with fellow fans and get pumped up for the game.
However, it's important to adhere to certain guidelines while at Saluki Row. BBQ grills must be attended at all times, and glass bottles are prohibited. Additionally, pets are not permitted in the Saluki Row area.
Please dispose of all trash in the designated receptacles located in the tailgating areas. Keep in mind that driving and parking private vehicles on grass and sidewalks are strictly prohibited.
If you prefer not to drive, you can explore alternative transportation options to get to Saluki Stadium. The Southern Illinois football team encourages the use of public transportation, and the stadium is easily accessible via the RMTD bus system.
