Welcome to the thrilling world of Bearcats football at the illustrious Nippert Stadium! Whether you’re a season ticket holder or a first-time visitor, having a solid plan for parking can make a BIG difference in your gameday experience. This guide is here to provide you everything you need for seamless parking on game days. Buckle up, because we’re diving into the ins & outs of parking at Nippert Stadium!
Gameday parking starts six hours prior to the game’s start time and will expire at 3 a.m. on the day after the game. Check out the full schedule for precise game times & start dates.
Parking at Nippert Stadium can be a little tricky since the gameday parking impacts the entire uptown campus parking facilities. It’s worthwhile to know your options in advance! Here's a breakdown of popular parking facilities along with key details:
Facility | Pre-Paid Day Parking | Season Pass |
---|---|---|
Woodside | N/A | Yes |
Stratford Heights | N/A | Yes |
Eden | $20 | Yes |
Corry | N/A | Yes |
Calhoun | N/A | Yes |
CCM | N/A | Yes |
Varsity Village | N/A | Yes |
University Avenue | N/A | Yes |
Campus Green | N/A | Yes |
For those requiring ADA parking, a portion of the pre-sale parking in the Woodside Garage will be set aside specifically for ADA usage. To access this, a state-issued handicap placard & license plate are mandatory along with a gameday parking pass. If you attempt to enter without the necessary credentials, you won't be permitted parking (plus, no refunds will be issued).
No worries, though! Golf cart shuttles will be operating from the parking garage to the entry gate of Nippert Stadium - starting four hours before kickoff!
Looking for day parking? The Eden Garage is designated as a Day Parking facility, where you can pay with a credit card. Shuttles will take you to the intersection of West Daniels and Champions Way. They begin running six hours before the game and will continue for one hour post-game.
Season pass parking is exclusively for season ticket holders. For more info, contact the Bearcats Ticket Office.
Now that you're familiar with where to park, let's go over some valuable tips to ensure your parking experience is super smooth:
ARRIVE EARLY: The earlier you get there, the better your chances are of scoring a great parking spot & avoiding the heaviest traffic as game time approaches. Plus, you can enjoy the electric atmosphere surrounding Clifton area!
Know You Can't Walk to the Stadium: You don’t wanna hike all the way back to your car after a glorious Bearcats win. Plan ahead & get your shuttle ride right to the entrance!
Beware of Clear Bag Policy: Cincinnati Athletics has a clear bag policy allowing fans one clear bag (either a one-gallon Ziplock-style or a small clutch bag). Check the approval list here.
Proper Parking Etiquette: When parking, please avoid backing up into spaces—it’s a traffic slow-motion disaster & we ALL want to enjoy the gameday experience!
Tailgating: While non-traditional tailgating occurs at the parking facilities, newcomers might find this a little peculiar. Dying to snack & sip? You can enjoy beverages & snacks in your vehicle but stay in the DRIVE lanes. Don't occupy more than one space. Bucking the grill trend? Grills aren't allowed! If you want to grill out, hit up the Bearcats Ticket Office for official tailgating opportunities.
Respect the Surroundings: Remember to represent Bearcats Nation proudly! Cleaning up after yourself & using the designated trash cans around the facility keeps things nice for everyone.
Knowing how to navigate the traffic flow can save you a world of hassle. Here’s a little rundown on what to expect:
Corry Boulevard: It turns ONE WAY an hour before the game, specifically from Jefferson Avenue to Dennis Street.
Campus Green Garage: Expect your entry to be directed to designated parking spots starting TWO hours before the game.
Stratford Heights Garage: Check the in-gate for temporary closures, as traffic will ONLY enter from Stratford Avenue!
Woodside Garage: After the game, traffic will be forced to turn LEFT westbound onto MLK Drive.
Campus Green Garage: Exiting will maintain a consistent flow to keep moving vehicles. Expect egress to travel eastbound/westbound on MLK Drive.
It’s worth it to check real-time traffic updates to help with your after-game plan!
Planning for your parking at Nippert Stadium shouldn't be overwhelming if you follow this guide with the tips presented here. Taking the time ahead of game day ensures that you’re not only in a good parking spot but also ready to enjoy the excitement of Bearcats football!
