Welcome to the ultimate guide to parking at the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC)! If you're planning to attend a fantastic show at this popular venue, parking can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially during big events. But fear not! We’ve got all the info you need to make your arrival as smooth and stress-free as possible.
When you’re making your way to DPAC, you'll find a variety of parking options within a short distance. The convenient parking garages around the center are your best bet. These garages are located within a walking distance of 1/10 to 3/10 miles from the venue. You should probably steer clear of the Corcoran Street & Church Street parking garages due to their lengthy exit times.
If you or a guest have mobility issues, there are designated accessible parking options close to DPAC. You can always reach out for more assistance at AccessibleServices@dpacnc.com.
If you find it difficult to walk long distances, DPAC operates a Courtesy Shuttle from the American Tobacco North Deck. It circulates approximately every ten minutes to pick you up and drop off near DPAC’s main entrance.
Planning to attend a big show? Here are some useful tips that will save you time, a trip, or an unhappy dance:

Use Alternative Transportation: If you’re feeling adventurous, ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft can be a safe & fun way to reach DPAC without the hassle of parking.
Street Parking: On special event days, street parking might even be free after certain hours, but be sure to check and follow posted regulations to avoid a nasty surprise.
